i adore these images! that green dress at the bottom . . . puts me in mind of leisurely afternoons in a springtime garden, wearing a big broad-brimmed hat, sipping tea and nibbling shortbread.
it's the kind of life i don't have these days, probably most don't. i think those marvelously lazy days succumbed to the onslaught of technology.
i wasn't alive in the '30s or '40s but i do think i missed my era. sigh. glad i had a mother who never relaxed her standards, never left the house without heels, pearls and hat, gloves most of the time.
i never leave the house in anything like that, but i wouldn't give up having grown up with gloves and hats for anything.
